Faik Pasha Istanbul Boutique Hotel was born from a passion for preserving the architectural and cultural heritage of Istanbul.

Located on historic Faik Pasha Street in Çukurcuma, one of the city’s most charming neighborhoods, our hotel is proud to be among the most distinctive Beyoğlu Hotels. Just a short walk from Taksim Square, Galata Tower, and Istiklal Street, our four carefully restored nineteenth-century heritage buildings offer an authentic Istanbul boutique hotel experience in the heart of historic Beyoğlu.

Unlike many modern Hotels in Beyoğlu, Faik Pasha preserves the atmosphere of old Istanbul. For generations, Muslims, Greeks, Armenians, Jews, and Levantine families lived side by side on this very street, creating a neighborhood built on friendship, respect, and cultural diversity. We proudly call this unique heritage the Old Istanbul Culture.

The vision behind Faik Pasha belongs to its founder, Meral Kalav Demir. Although trained as a lawyer, her lifelong love for Istanbul’s historic neighborhoods inspired her to restore these remarkable buildings and preserve them for future generations.

We did not restore these buildings simply to create a hotel. We restored them to preserve a part of Istanbul’s memory.

Every restoration decision was made with deep respect for the original architecture. Traditional construction techniques were combined with modern comfort, creating a unique historic boutique hotel in Istanbul where guests experience both elegance and authenticity.

Originally built during the nineteenth century for Levantine and Greek families, the houses still preserve their original wooden floors, high ceilings, and many architectural details. Antique furniture was carefully collected over several years, while handcrafted carpets and a collection of more than 500 original oil paintings create the atmosphere of an elegant private residence rather than a conventional hotel.
